This is a challenging time. Depending on where you live you could be required to stay home, required to work from home, or even required to wear a mask if you go out. Through all of the chaos there’s one thing to keep in mind, and it can help you make the best of it.
An Unprecedented Change
This moment in time is unlike anything that pretty much any of us have experienced. The isolation of being stuck inside, change in routine, and loneliness can be challenging.
But many of us have kids and others that we are isolating with. We often have to find ways to get along with them, find ways to stay positive, and even find things to occupy their time or keep them productive.
It can be tough, but there is one thing to keep in mind though all this.
Making the Most of It
You’ve heard the saying, “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade”. Sometimes life can be challenging and there may even be a point when you’ve had so much lemonade you’re sick of it.
That’s when you need to remember the one thing to keep in mind: you’ve got this.
I don’t mean it’s easy. I don’t mean you won’t fail. I don’t mean it won’t feel like you most definitely don’t have this. I mean something else entirely.
The One Thing to Keep in Mind
I mean that if you focus on what you have, you can find a solution that you hadn’t thought of before. Sure that lemonade is growing old, but you can make it into lemon popsicles or use it for some lemon pie or create a science experiment with it.
You can share it with some hummingbirds or use food dye to see what happens or freeze it into different shape containers to see whose melts the fastest on the sidewalk.
You can run out of lemons or desire for lemonade but the one thing to keep in mind is that you will always have creativity. Look beyond the normal and find the exciting.
