Sick of the same old, same old? Just because life can get monotonous, that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy it. Here are three simple ways to make any day an adventure.
Make Life a Game
If you want to make life more exciting, then make it a game. Have to get that five page report done today? Then make it a race. Make each page a timed event that takes one hour, or make each paragraph five minutes. Race the clock to get it done.
Or get that presentation done by taking a shot with a crumpled up piece of paper at the wastepaper basket after every slide you complete. Keep track of your score for the next presentation to see if you can beat it. (To make a presentation that will energize the crowd, be sure to check out How to Create Amazing Presentations).
Add Rewards
Just like adding a reward of shooting a basket after every slide, rewards can be a great way to make any day an adventure.
Find ways to take regular tasks and make them exciting by adding rewards. The rewards might be simple activities like getting up to take a walk after 30 minutes of work. It might even be as exciting and mouthwatering as stopping for your favorite sweets on your way home to share with someone you love after finishing a project.
All of this boils down to the key to make any day an adventure: creating fun.
Create Fun
The thing about life is that it’s yours. You have the ability to make it fun or make it tiresome. Sure, you have to do the work put in front of you even if it’s working a tedious assembly line, but how you approach that tedious task can make all the difference.
You can count up how many items you process and go for a record. You can decide to speak in an accent all day just for fun. You imagine that what your processing isn’t packages, but disguised parts from a time machine that will be sent back in time to save humanity.
A little imagination can go a long way to make any day an adventure. Change your day for the better and find out where your adventure takes you.
