A Strange Holiday Season

To say that this holiday season is different from any other holiday season in our lifetimes would be an understatement. With lockdowns, mask mandates, and traveling restrictions, this holiday season just seems… strange.

But that doesn’t mean it has to be disappointing or even boring. You can still enjoy healthy holidays that are full of the fun and joy of the season. Here are three simple ways to do it.

A Healthy Heart

Being separated from loved ones is a difficult pill to swallow at this time of year. That doesn’t mean you can’t spend the holidays with them.

We are very fortunate to live in a time where we can virtually meet with virtually anyone virtually anywhere. This year is the perfect time to fire up the phone, tablet, or computer, and share a virtual meal with all the laughter and conversation of a normal holiday meal.

It’s a great way to enjoy healthy holidays. Another great approach is with a healthy mind.

A Healthy Mind

Sure, we can’t go out and do all the things we typically do, but that doesn’t have to be a bad thing. How often are we always on the go and how often do we just sit and enjoy life?

When was the last time you just looked out the window or sat and contemplated your future? How often do you sit and design something creative in your mind or just puzzle through a problem you’re having? If you haven’t done it, give it a try. You will be amazed at how many great solutions come to mind.

A Healthy Body

Finally, enjoy healthy holidays with a healthy body. Set out some healthy snacks to enjoy during the holidays along with the other holiday treats. Take a nice walk if the weather permits. Get in some exercise.

The best part is that you can combine all of these with the a healthy heart and a healthy mind.

It may be a holiday season unlike any other, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy healthy holidays this holiday season. Make the most of your holiday season with a healthy heart, a healthy mind, and a healthy body.
